Kinetic Op Art Color Aditivo Print after Cruz-Diez
After Carlos Cruz-Diez (Venezuelan, 1923-2019), kinetic color print on paper composed in the manner of the artist's Color Aditivo series, featuring overlapping rectangular fields of fine vertical stripes in yellow, orange, red, turquoise, green and white against a black and blue striped ground. Executed in an Op Art style in which the parallel lines create shifting color effects. Bears a "Cruz.Diez" signature in pencil in the lower right margin. Presented under glazing with the sheet floated in a white shadowbox frame. Approximate sight size 23" x 24.5".
Dimensions: 27.5 X 28.75 X 1.5 in.
Condition: Good overall condition with typical to mild surface wear. The sheet exhibits curling at each corner. The frame exhibits normal storage wear, with visible joint separation at the lower right and upper left corners. The work has not been examined outside of the frame.
