Klaas Gubbels (Rotterdam, 19 January 1934) is a Dutch artist. He is best known fro his still lifes of tables, chairs and coffee pots. In course of time the works of art by Klaas Gubbels become more and more abstract. His work has common ground with works by artists such as Giorgio Morandi and Amedeo Modigliani and seems to be influenced by Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray and George Segal. His work is represented in various major Dutch museums and company collections such as Ahold, Akzo and TNT. Late 2004 / early 2005 Klaas Gubbels had a major retrospective exhibition of his work at the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem. He works in Arnhem or in France. Condition: In very good condition, both canvas and frame. Signature: Signed by hand, in the lower left the edition, 14/23, in the lower right the signature and year.
