Kneelder (1) - Beech, Burr walnut - First half 19th century
Splendid kneeler from the early 19th century. It comes from the church, now deconsecrated, of the Podere "Le Reniere", above Borgo Pretale, Tuscany, in the Tonni area, a stone's throw from Siena. The processing is very linear, solid materials, both walnut and beech. well preserved, with a gold-colored linear pattern that recalls its outlines. In the photo you can see it with 2 glass shelves that are included in the lot (Slightly dusty, it only needs cleaning, the signs of aging are very few and of almost no importance) , Also in the lot is a kneeler mat which was made at the beginning of the 20th century; the story tells us 1904, made by the Priest of Sovicille, our relative ancestor, to kneel more comfortably. Height 107cm, width 60cm, depth 44cm, floor height for kneeling 22cm. It is splendid with its 200 years.
