The Willborg family lived for some time in Rhodesia, where Max Willborg worked for the Victoria and Albert Museum in Harare from 1969-70. The note "R114" stands for Rhodesia and the 114th object that Max Willborg acquired there.
The object was then owned by Peter Willborg for thirty-five years.
