A late Ming period dish, Tianqi period (1620-1627) for the Japanese Market. So called Ko-Sometsuke ware or "Old dyed Blue and White".

The dish is decorated with a scene of a scholar and a fisherman conversing at the waters edge.

Dimensions: W14. 2 x H2. 5 cm

Condition: In good condition, with one chip and related hairline and the usual and desired mushikui or 'moth-eaten' edges.
