A crater vase with floral decoration : Vienna, around 1830 Painting probably by Joseph Nigg. On a rectangular plinth a round foot with a disc mode, a conically swinging body with a sloping rim, two raised handles at the base of the dome; gilded inside and out, partly etched ornamental borders, on the body a colourfully painted, opulent, naturalistic floral décor, among others with roses, lilies, dahlias in front of a background with a clearing and a temple. Porcelain. Pressed band label on the underside, date ''830'' and bossing number ''25''. H. 34 cm, D. 27 cm. - Restored on the underside of the rim. - Lit. E. Auf rechteckiger Plinthe runder Fuss mit Scheibennodus, konisch ausschwingender Korpus mit abschwingendem Rand, am Kuppaansatz zwei hochgezogene Handhaben; innen und aussen vergoldet, teils radierte Ornamentborten, auf dem Korpus farbig gemalter, opulenter, naturalistischer Blumendekor, u.a. mit Rosen, Lilien, Dahlien vor einem Hintergrund mit Lichtung und Tempel. Porzellan. Unterseitig gepresster Bindenschild, Dat. "830" und Bossierernummer "25". H. 34 cm, D. 27 cm. - An Randunterseite restauriert. - Lit. E.
