Krijono (Jakarta, 1951 - 2011) Legong Bali

Krijono liked to use few colors with thick lines. He combined bright colors, including whites in this painting, with green, yellow and red colors he used for the costumes of the Legong dancers, and the blue and greens of the background. He is an artist who knew his own strength and character, and dared to paint human skin in an unnatural color tone, but giving the figures strong characters.
