Attributed to Mennecy Porcelain (French), circa 1750. Snowball soft paste porcelain lidded potpourri jar with Rococo style ormolu base, flower finial, mayflower purple-rose tipped encrusted flowers. Apparently unmarked. Provenance: Christie's Important European Furniture, Works of Art, Ceramics, Carpets, and Glass Auction May 20, 2008, lot 162. Approx. h. 5.125".
Condition Report: Small / tiny chips to flower edges -- not distracting. No apparent cracks or repairs. Pleasing oxidation to bronze.
