Description: The picture depicts a classic landscape of ruins on the Via dei Sepolcri in Pompeii, with funerary monuments against a mountainous backdrop. Ancient arches and the remains of walls bear witness to past greatness, while the stone path leads the eye through the scenery.

Condition: Rather good condition. Foxing is visible on the entire sheet. The lower right corner of the sheet has a fine liquid stain. Small liquid stain at top centre. Small brown stain at the top. Remains of an old binding along the left edge of the sheet.
