Inscription: At the lower part signed in the printing plate: "H. Wilkins del. / L. Caracciolo inc.". At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "Tombeau de Mammia".

Description: The picture depicts a classic landscape of ruins on the Via dei Sepolcri in Pompeii, with funerary monuments against a mountainous backdrop. Ancient arches and the remains of walls bear witness to past greatness, while the stone path leads the eye through the scenery.
