Envelope-shaped cigarette case in 950‰ silver lacquered in black and red; the tip of the flap is adorned with a 750‰ yellow gold coat of arms depicting the emblem of the city of Deauville, inscribed with “DYC” for “Deauville Yacht Club” and decorated with red, blue, and cream enamel.
Equipped with two hinges, the two flaps of the envelope open out; the interior is vermeil. Interior clasp in 750‰ yellow gold.
Signed “LACLOCHE FRE” and numbered “75642.”
Made in France, with the diamond-shaped hallmark of the Albert CLAUDE workshop.
Dimensions: 6.4 x 7.9 x 1.3 cm.

Adopted in 1878, here is the description of the coat of arms of the City of Deauville: “Azure, a pale argent charged with three towers gules, open and masoned sable, accompanied by four lion’s paws or emerging from the flanks of the shield, two on the dexter side in bar and two on the sinister side in band; in the chief, gules, a leopard Or armed and langued azure.”
