LAMINOR - c. 1925
Rare original lithographed advertising card for the Laminor brand, registered by the Manufacture Genevoise de Boîtes de Montres (M.G.B.M. / Geneva Watch Case Co.). Founded in Geneva in 1917 by Johannes Dérobert, this company was not a movement manufacturer but an elite case maker specializing in rolled gold (laminated gold) for major brands such as Minerva and Revue Thommen.
31.5 x 23.5 cm. “Imp. H. Richard-Lyon. R.C. Annecy 1702”
Good condition—
The overall condition is satisfactory, with the original colors preserved.
There is a slight crease down the center and a faint crease in the lower right corner, neither of which significantly affects the overall aesthetic of the piece.
This copy retains the last original page of its 1925 almanac block, as indicated in the lower cartouche.
Focused on the theme of sports, the illustration depicts a boxing match: in the ring, the victorious watch marked “GM BM Genève” triumphs by knockout over its downed opponent.
French-speaking Switzerland/Canton of Geneva
