LARGE ANTIQUE PARQUETRY WALNUT WEDDING CABINET
Unique 19th century parquetry inlaid double door armoire / wardrobe. Walnut with mixed wood and metal inlay. Dated "1856" in inlay at the top near crest. Engraved escutcheons, larrge iron door hinges, removable crown.Interior has been re-lined with oak, three shelves added. Condition: minor scattered repairs to inlay, normal signs of age to wood and finish, some early wormage, signs of age to veneers throughout, hole cut in backing, minor damage to rear part of crown, no key, see images. Measures 91.25" tall x 55" wide (at crown), 50" wide at the body, 26.5" deep at crown, and 23" deep at the body. Weight: approx. 300 lbs.
