Large machine woven tapestry in the manner of Beauvais, after Vernansal the Elder (French 1648-1729), Jean-Baptiste Belin de Fontenay the Elder (French 1653-1715), and Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer (French 1636-1699), 'The Audience of the Emperor' from 'The Story of the Emperor of China' series, taken from a portion of the original depicting a chinoiserie scene with an elephant and courtiers, apparently unmarked.
