Large Continental majolica jardiniere/ planter on pedestal, jardiniere having flared rim over tapered body, with raised fish, animals, and foliate motifs, rising on tripartite stand with protruding ram's heads, ending on hoof feet, jardiniere: approx 21"h, 20"w, 20"d, pedestal: approx 39"h, 17"w, 20.5"d
Condition Report: 4.15.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3080- both jardiniere and pedestal stand sturdy, a careful UV examination reveals only some small abrasions, areas of glaze loss (noted to pedestal top and some protruding elements), crazing, and some discoloration, particularly at rims heads, a small area of chipping/possible repair at one hooved foot, very hard to discern, and some overall intrinsic glaze variations throughout, there is a small minor hairline at on edge of pedestal (see UV image), no apparent major restorations or loss observed, please see attached images for your review.
