LARGE ENGLISH SUNDERLAND LUSTRE NAUTICAL JUG, DATED 1842, AND OTHER ENGLISH TRANSFER-PRINTED WARES
with circular form decoration with pink lustre, with free form designs to body, with inscription 'Cornelius Simeons/Topsham/1842', one side with an English ship in black transferware, the other side with patriotic poem about sailing; including a black transfer-printed ABC cup of two children titled 'Willie and His Rabbit'; another child's cup of Benjamin Franklin's maxims; a J&G Meakin Benjamin Franklin's maxims plate with molded border of wheat and bellflowers; a flow blue 'Gothic' plate by Jacob Furnival & Co; and a blue and white pearlware sugar dish (6)

Condition: Chips, restored spout, cracks going around body, star crack to underside; Meakin plate browned with chips to edges; Franklin cup with cracks and chips, signs of restoration to rim with overpaint, crazing; chip and restoration to lid of sugar dish, finial reattached, browning/staining
