Large hand-carved wood black bear sculpture featuring a wonderfully expressive folk-art form with deeply carved textured fur, rounded ears, bead-like black eyes, and contrasting natural brown wood details to the muzzle, mouth, ears, and paws. The bear is depicted seated upright with raised paws and a charming open-mouth expression. Substantial scale and strong rustic character make this an excellent decorative piece for a lodge, mountain home, cabin, Adirondack interior, or folk-art collection. The reverse has an added wire for hanging/display.
