LARGE JAPANESE IMARI CHARGER, MEIJI, 19TH CENTURY. Of lobed circular form, decorated in underglaze blue and iron-red enamels, the central medallion decorated a vase of flowers within alternating panels depicting mythical beasts and foliate designs.
58.5cm diameter. *CR Minor flaking to enamels, couple of blobs to the back (possibly paint), rings nicely and generally seems fine.
