The necklace contains 27 round South Sea and Tahitian pearls measuring 15x17. 1mm in diameter, creating a statement with this rare luxurious size! Produced by the gold-lipped Pinctada Maxima Oyster in the warm waters off the coasts of Australia, the South Sea pearls have been hand selected for their natural magnificent golden and champagne colours and for their eye catching lustre. They are combined with lustrous peacock Tahitian pearls , produced in the tropical lagoons of French Polynesia. The overtones of these pearls are carefully matched in the natural South Sea and Tahitian colouring to create an elegant necklace that is truly unique. The pearls matched for this necklace have an excellent sharp lustre and clean surface, with some minor irregularities being visible on the surface of some pearls. The necklace is a standard length of 45cm long and is strung by hand with knots between each pearl for safety and is completed with a secure 18K gold built in clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality 18k gold screw and the other end pearl a gold bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden, offering a clean and elegant look.
