LARGE MIRROR

Rococo, attributable to JOHANN FRIEDFRICH FUNK I (1706-1775), Berne ca. 1760.
Gilt wood, pierced and carved with leaves, rocailles and a bud. Restorations and losses.
H 195, W 99 cm.

All the details of this mirror can be found in well-known works by the Bernese sculptor Johann Friedrich Funk I, but in different compositions. The open pomegranate bud in the center of the mirror top can also be found in a mirror in Hindelbank Castle.
