Large hand-built studio pottery sculpture depicting a recumbent llama or alpaca, modeled with an expressive elongated neck, upright ears and highly dimensional shaggy coat. Constructed from numerous individually formed and layered clay elements creating substantial texture throughout the body, neck and head. Finished in warm earthy brown tones with irregular cream-white glaze accents emphasizing the sculptural surface. The underside reveals the hand-built construction and unglazed clay body.
