LARGE VASE

AFRICAN STUDIOKERAMICS: Large vase / floor vase "Sun Birds", 2005, inscribed under the stand "Sun Birds / Hand Painted at Kwamsasa in Africa / By Edward Mgnduyi / 16 / 38 068 / 2005". Light-coloured body with polychrome decoration on a blue background. Cylindrical shape with recessed shoulder and flared mouth; wall with relief decoration. Decor of branches with leaves and calyxes, in between green nectar birds (so-called sunbirds). H. 60.5 cm, d. approx. 20 cm. (Staffage on the stand partially chipped, remains of an adhesive label at the mouth).

AFRIKANISCHE STUDIOKERAMIK: Grosse Vase / Bodenvase "Sun Birds", 2005, unter dem Stand bezeichnet "Sun Birds / Hand Painted at Kwamsasa in Africa / By Edward Mgnduyi / 16 / 38 068 / 2005". Heller Scherben mit polychromer Staffage auf blauem Fond. Zylindrische Form mit eingezogener Schulter und ausgestellter Mündung; Wandung mit Reliefdekor. Dekor aus Geäst mit Blättern und Blütenkelchen, dazwischen grüne Nektarvögel (sogenannte Sunbirds). H. 60,5 cm, D. ca. 20 cm. (Staffage am Stand partiell bestoßen, an der Mündung mit Resten eines Klebeetikettes).
