Based on the Jodocus Hondius map of 1618 with alterations already made for the second state (incl. a dotted west coast of North America), which is assigned by Loeb to Michel van Lochom. "Appeared at the hand of Pierre Mariette and is found in the two recorded editions of the 'Theatre geographique de France' of 1650 and 1653." (B.). - Col. Minor browning, a few short marginal tears repaired.
