LEDAIG 20 YEAR OLD DOUGLAS MURDOCH & CO ISLAND SINGLE MALT
40% ABV / 70cl Ledaig (pronounced letch-ick) was the original name of Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, but today it is reserved for the distillery’s peated output. The distillery itself, founded in 1798, is among the oldest still in operation. A fact that is even more remarkable when you consider its chequered history of closures totalling more than eight decades. Thankfully, things have been on a more even keel recently thanks to owners Burn Stewart and Distell, with the peated Ledaig brand in particular garnering praise from reviewers and whisky fans.
