A GOLD OPEN-FACED GRANDE AND PETITE SONNERIE CLOCK-WATCH WITH VIRGULE ESCAPEMENT
CIRCA 1815
• Movement: gilded full plate, virgule escapement, plain three arm brass balance, levers under the bezel in the band for strike/silent and grande/petite sonnerie, striking on two large flat steel gongs
• Dial: enamel, Arabic numerals and outer five minute divisions, two winding apertures to the centre, signed Lefevre, Sucr de Debelle, Rue de Honoré
• Case: gold, engine turned with fluted bands, small trip repeat button in the pendant, engraved 5-point star engraved in the circular cartouche on the back, Paris gold mark for 1809-1819
