Sublime rare baluster vase with undulating hot-worked collar, opacified base of the famous "Antique Green" tinted in the mass, enamelled decoration of ravishing wild orchids in flower and in buds very delicately painted by hand surrounded by fine branches of gold.

Remarkable high quality work of enamelling with many pretty shades of color from the end of the 19th century by this great master glassmaker.

Nice height of 198mm with a nice neck width of 95mm at the widest

Extremely rare print with this splendid decoration of wild orchids, very rarely produced and therefore quite sought after by collectors.
Model called "Calcutta" made with the famous Vert Antique registered by Legras&Cie, perfectly referenced in the famous Legras Verrier directory raisonné catalog

In good condition for its great age with very fresh and thick enamelling and very bright colors. Just note some small wear and tear from common use due to time passed (more than 134 years) ! at the collar which does not detract from the charm of this magnificent Legras/Montjoye collection piece and makes it a unique and rare piece.
