Cal. 30-06. S# 687776. Bbl. 24" SA 6-42 dated & with British proofs. Muzzle gauges 2.0 & throat less than 1. Blade front sight with protective ears & hood. Type II locking bar rear sights. Parts include single slot gas cyl., uncut "-3 SA" op rod, "-12 SA" bolt, "-5 SA" trigger housing, "-3 SA" trigger guard & "-2 SA" hammer. Parkerized finish. Walnut stock set with grooved rear handguard clip, bottom mounted sling swivels & M1907 style sling. Left side of stock has partially faded ordnance wheel & boxed "SA/GHS" cartouche. Underside of wrist has partially faded circled "P" firing proof. CONDITION: stock appears lightly sanded with thin crack on froant handguard, scattered dings, staining & handling marks. Gas cyl. is a silver color with some oxidation staining. Balance of metal retains 80% parkerized finish with scattered oxidation, some pitting flaws beneath finish on clip latch, handling marks, edge wear & fading. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bore with strong rifling. (26-3321/MJC). CURIO. $1200-1800.
