LEON (1994) POSTER, FRENCH
SIGNED BY LUC BESSON, DIRECTOR; JEAN RENO AND GARY OLDMAN
Art by Laurent Lufroy

63 x 47 in. (160 x 119 cm)

This film was written and directed by Luc Besson, and stars Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, and Natalie Portman in her film debut. The story is about a professional assassin who reluctantly takes in a twelve-year-old girl, after her family is murdered. This young girl becomes his protégée, and an unusual relationship begins as she learns his trade.

Laurent Lufroy has brilliantly captured Jean Reno, who plays the title role of Leon. This poster was signed by Luc Besson at the BFI, London, at a screening of his film The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec. Gary Oldman's and Jean Reno's signatures were obtained at other premieres. It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures.
