LEON KROLL

RAIN ENDING

oil on canvas laid down on panel
18 by 22 inches
(46 by 56 cm)
Condition Report:
The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes, Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
This work is painted on a canvas wrapped around a piece of board, which it may be lightly adhered to. The paint layer is cleaned and lightly varnished. The cleaning is slightly uneven, and there are remnants of dirt in some of the darker colors. There are no retouches. The paint layer around the tree on the right side is somewhat thin. This may be a very slight abrasion, or it could possibly be original to the artist.
The condition is very good overall.
