LETTER FROM RABBI MOSHE SHMUEL GLASNER, RABBI OF KLAUSENBURG (CLUJ).

Letter dated 1905, addressed to a rabbi, asking him to send him his published works and asking for his contribution towards the marriage of a poor bride. The other side of the page contains Torah novellae by an unidentified writer.

Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Glasner (1856-1924), a disciple of his father Rabbi Avraham of Klausenburg, and of his great-uncle, the Kesav Sofer. Succeeded his father as Rabbi of Klausenburg in 1878, but retired from the rabbinate in 1923 and settled in Yerushalayim. Author of Dor Revi’i and other works.
