Condition Report:
The canvas is unlined and there is frame abrasion at edges. There is scattered fine surface cracking and there are a few specks of loss in the tree trunk above the brim of the hat. There is a small reinforcement on the back of the canvas, which does not appear to correspond to any inpainting. Under UV: the work retains an uneven varnish and there are a few scattered pindots of possible inpainting.
