A late 19th century Cherry Biedermeier tall clock by Lorenz Furtwangler & Sohn. 8-day time and strike movement with dead Beat escapement, Silvered dial and Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds, backplate marked with "LFS" trademark and serial #918, bi-metallic compensating pendulum. Cherry Biedermeier style case, upper dial door with circular glass and waist door with beveled class, over a paneled base with simple scalloped plinth. Older finish with fading, minor exterior veneer damage, some veneer loss inside the waist base, running when cataloged. 78 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500
