LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABER, Consulate–Directoire Period Iron mount. Single-branch Hungarian-style guard. Long-tailed pommel. Wooden hilt wrapped in filigree calfskin. Curved, hollow-edged blade, engraved with military trophies, a civic crown, and floral motifs. Sheath made entirely of iron, with a relief-decorated scabbard mouth; it lacks loop brackets, featuring faceted diamond-point attachment pins with steel rings.
