the case surmounted by figure of the goddess Fortuna, she holds a cornucopia seated next to a sphere with a berried branch of laurel, above a stepped base raised on scrolled feet, the brass dial with pierced gilt hands and Roman numerals, the pierced backplate revealing the movement interior stamped C 5 1; height: 66 cm (26 in.), dimensions of base: 14 x 40 cm (5 1/2 x 15 3/4 in.)
CONDITION
Observed in frame, the painting appears in good condition. Visible scattered surface soiling. Surface dust and craquelure visible along the raised areas. Inspection under UV light shows no apparent sign of restoration.
