LIKELY SONG DYNASTY (960-1279) YUE WAR COVERED EWER

of squat baluster form with a single handle and spout, the cover formed with a rounded-triangular finial, glazed overall with a light green ground with a raw stoneware footrim; overall height: 24 cm (9 1/2 in.)

CONDITION
The covered ewer appears in age-appropriate and stable condition. Overall craquelure visible, scattered chips to the body, some to the ewer cover, the foot rim and spout. Endemic firing imperfections visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light shows overall surface dust and grime but no apparent signs of restoration.
