A fine engraved albumen portrait of President Lincoln after a photograph originally taken on 9 February 1864 by Anthony Berger of Brady's Gallery (O-92 Variant). It was this portrait that Robert Lincoln described as "the most satisfactory likeness".

This piece was likely produced after Lincoln’s assassination, when the American public clamored for any keepsake of their martyred president.
