LINE VAUTRIN
TABLE LAMP

circa 1955
talosel resin, gilt mirrored glass, fabric shade
signed LINE VAUTRIN on underside
28½ in. (72.3 cm) high
15 in. (38.1 cm) diameter of shade

Condition Report:
Overall in fair condition. Some hairline cracks and hairline shattering to colored glass, which are not visually distracting and frequent in Line Vautrin’s lamps. Some glass elements are lacking parts of cracked elements, only visible upon close inspection. Two glass pieces exhibit lifting, glass pieces have been sensitively and professional stabilized by a professional restorer and are not at all visually distracting. Resin surfaces present with scattered minor losses. Lampshade presents well, and exhibits a more buttermilk yellow tone than viewed in the catalog illustration. Fitted with an American two-prong socket. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. When viewed in person, the lamp presents with shimmering green tones.
