German, ca. 1700, Mainz, artillery device.
Tip with rhombic cross-section, base with etched decoration: coat-of-arms of Lothar Franz von Schönborn, Archbishop-Elector of Mainz (1695-1729). Curved arms on both sides, ending in fuse holders designed as animal heads. Conical round socket, three of the four rings for attaching the fuse are missing. Langets, round shaft.
