LOETZ ATTRIBUTED C1910 GILT TREE VASE 9"

Attributed to Loetz, circa 1910. Art Nouveau iridescent glass vase with an elongated baluster body, rounded shoulders, flared mouth and spreading circular foot. The luminous green ground displays violet, blue and golden reflections, embellished with delicate gilt trees rising from branching roots to canopies of individually articulated leaves. Birds in flight appear between the trees, completing the woodland decoration. The graceful proportions and flowing linear ornament exemplify the naturalistic character of Jugendstil design. Underside retains a pontil mark and handwritten ?Loetz ca. 1910? label.
