Lot is accompanied with certificate of authentication from Gallery 13 Ltd. Note: Born in Chongqing in 1956, Long Quan graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1984 and taught there as a professor, as well as travelling to the UK and Germany to study and teach. The 'Junk' series, created in the early 1990s, is regarded as his most accomplished collection of works. Using the imagery of solitary boats floating on still waters, Long Quan expresses a piercing sense of isolation and stillness.
