LOT OF 2 MILLS BELTS WITH WINCHESTER BEAR HEAD BUCKLES.

Lot consists of: (A) Pattern 1881 khaki Mills web belt with nickel-plated "Bear Head" buckle. Loops contain 20 .45-75 WRA head stamped cartridges. (B) Khaki Mills web belt with "Bear Head" brass buckle. Belt has 10 .45-60 W.R.A head stamped cartridges present. Known as one of the rarest specimens of Indian Wars period belts, they were never adopted by the US military. They instead found use in the civilian market and on the Western frontier. CONDITION: Both belts are in very good condition with age-commensurate wear and only the slightest fraying to the web edges.
