Lot consists of: (A) Third Reich police bayonet with "ALEXANDER COPPEL SOLINGEN" marked nickel-plated steel blade, which has been cut down from an Imperial German police bayonet. Blade is bright with light scattered marks. Nickel-plated fittings with light patina and scattered blemishes. Stag grips are intact with aluminum Polizei emblem. Portepee affixed to bird head pommel. Black leather scabbard exhibits light wear with scattered scuffs and scratches throughout its length. Nickel-plated fittings exhibit a pleasing light patina with scattered marks, and the lower fitting is marked "S.H. 37" denoting Schutzpolizei, Polizeiverwaltung Hannover, Rack/Item #37. Brown leather frog with aluminum rivets and marked "HANS DEUTER / AUGSBURG" dated "1939" with light wear. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Third Reich police bayonet with a “WEYERSBERG / KIRSCHBAUM & CO / SOLINGEN” marked nickel-plated steel blade, which has been cut down from an Imperial German police bayonet. Blade is bright with light scattered marks. Nickel-plated brass fittings with moderate patina and scattered blemishes. Stag grips are intact with aluminum Polizei emblem. Leather scabbard exhibits light wear with scattered scuffs and scratches throughout its length. Nickel-plated fittings exhibit a pleasing patina with scattered marks, and the lower fitting is marked "P.Fr. 416" denoting Frankenstein police school, Rack/Item #416. CONDITION: Good.
