LOT OF 2: THIRD REICH SA DAGGER AND ACID ETCHED POLICE BAYONET.

Lot consists of: (A) Third Reich SA dagger with a "E.F. HORSTER SOLINGEN" marked nickel-plated steel blade with runner marks, light blemishes, and visible cross graining. Early nickel-plated fittings retain nice amounts of their plating with patina and light scattered marks. Guard is district marked "Nrh" for Niederrhein. Wood grip has very light wear, with light abrasions. SA eagle and emblem are tightly inset and original to the grip with patina. Steel scabbard retains almost all of its original anodized finish with scattered scuffs. Nickel-plated fittings retain most of their finish with a light patina and scattered marks. "DRGM" marked SA hanger is attached with supple leather and patina to clip. CONDITION: Good. (B) Third Reich etched dress bayonet with blade marked "ORIGINAL / Eickhorn / SOLINGEN" on reverse and neatly etched obverse with the wording “Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (To the memory of my service time) flanked on either side with a German eagle and swastika. Crisp etching with soft Eickhorn mark and scattered blemishes. Nickeled fittings exhibit an oxidized patina with areas of original finish poking through. Black grip scales are firmly secured to the bayonet with no major damage and patina to pins. Red felt present in bayonet lug. Complete with its scabbard that features most of its original black paint with scattered blemishes. A leather frog is also present with areas of cracking and a gold and blue portepee. CONDITION: Good. Blade Length: (A) 8 - 5/8" (B) 7 - 3/4" Overall Length: (A) 13 - 5/8" (B) 12 - 1/2"
