Lot consists of: (A) The first comprehensive history of New Jersey printed in America: The History of the Colony of Nova-Caesaria or New Jersey: Containing, an Account of its First Settlement, Progressive Improvements, the Original and Present Constitution, and other Events, to the Year 1721. Samuel Smith, Burlington, New Jersey, Printed and sold by James Parker, Sold also by David Hall, Philadelphia, 1765, 8vo, approximately 673 pages. Parker, the printer, was a friend of Benjamin Franklin. Title page contains signature of Andrew Roseson, an early Pennsylvania Attorney General. Intact with wear to covers and spine. Pages with blemishes and foxing. CONDITION: Good. (B) The United States Azetteer: Containing an Authentic Description of the Several States. Joseph Scott, Philadelphia, 1793. Front cover separated, pages with wear. CONDITION: Poor. (C) Nelson R. Holdridge ALS, Clinton, Michigan Territory, 20 May 1832, 2 folio pages. Describes his passage through the Erie Canal and journey to the territory by steamboat to Detroit. Tears on fold lines, clear writing. CONDITION: Good. PROVENANCE: Ex. Dr. John K. Lattimer.
