LOT OF 4: EARLY DECKS OF CARDS.

Lot consists of 4 packs of cards to include a Gold Rush era Samuel Hart & Co. deck with federal eagle motif on case. Samuel Hart was a legendary card maker of the Old West. Due to the popularity of his Faro Cards he was etched into the history of America’s greatest adventures, the rush for Gold and the westward expansion. As the Gold Rush in California was drawing people across the country to strike it rich in 1849, Samuel Hart was creating the cards they took with them to pass the time and winter monotonies. Also included are 2 packs of Steamboat cards, and a deck from the American Card Co. with Civil War era patriotic motifs dated 1862. CONDITION: Very good overall.
