Lot contains: (A) Imperial German Baden Court Sword, (B) Imperial German Prussian M1889 Sword, (C) Imperial German Prussian M1889 Sword, and (D) Imperial German Bavarian Sword. (A) Baden court sword with a 28" double etched unmarked blade. Blade is very good, with runner and scattered marks, several light dings, light freckling, and faint floral pattern etching. Black grip has moderate wear and brass fittings retain approximately 10% of the gilt finish, with heavy patina. Black leather scabbard has moderate wear and damage, and the brass throat has freckling. Brass tip has dents over entire surface. CONDITION: Overall good to very good condition. (B) Prussian M1889 sword with a 32" blade marked "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co., Solingen". Nickel plated blade is very good, with light runner, light scattered marks, and light freckling, especially near the tip and cross guard. Wire wrapped shark skin grip has moderate to heavy wear, with light damage to the wire. Grip has the standard Prussian emblem attached, and brass fittings retain approximately 5% of the gilt finish, with heavy patina. Both cross guard and scabbard have matching unit number of "B.K.42.F.I.5" Blued steel scabbard retains approximately 70% of its original finish, with freckling, scattered marks, and 3 dings near the tip. Throat fitting is missing. CONDITION: Overall very good condition. (C) Prussian M1889 sword with a 30" unmarked blade. Nickel plated blade is good, with runner and scattered marks and freckling. Entire front edge has been poorly sharpened. Wire wrapped shark skin grip has heavy wear, with a most of the wire strands being loose. Poor condition grip has the Prussian emblem attached. Brass fittings retain approximately 5% of the gilt finish, with heavy patina. Black plated steel scabbard retains approximately 15% of its original finish, with heavy freckling, and scattered marks throughout CONDITION: Overall poor condition. (D) Bavarian sword with a 32" unmarked blade in very good condition with runner and scattered marks, freckling throughout, and a number of light dings. Wire wrapped shark skin grip is poor, and nickel fittings are loose with heavy patina. Nickel plated steel scabbard has approximately 10% of its finish with freckling over the remainder of its surface. CONDITION: Overall poor.
