Lot consists of: (A) Imperial German Seitengewehr Model 1898 pipe back bayonet. Marked V.C. SCHILLING / SUHL" on ricasso and dated 1907 on spine. Unit mark "B.1.R.6.71" on guard. Pitting and freckling throughout blade and hilt. Complete with intact black leather scabbard. (B) Imperial German Model 1898/05 sawback bayonet marked "R. STOCK & CO. / BERLIN-MARIENFELDE" on ricasso, spine dated 1915. Blade with gray patina, pitting toward tip. Complete with scabbard that exhibits nice finish. (C) Imperial German Model 1898/05 bayonet marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER A.G. / OBERNDORF &. N" on ricasso, spine dated 1917. Blade is bright. Complete with scabbard that exhibits nice finish and leather frog. (D) Imperial German Model 1898/05 bayonet marked "F.D. / LUNESCHLOSS / SOLINGEN" on ricasso, spine dated 1917. Blade with light gray patina and freckling. Complete with scabbard that exhibits nice finish. (E) Imperial German Model 1898/05 sawback bayonet marked "Deutsche Maschinenfabrik / A-G Duisburg" on ricasso, spine dated 1916. Blade with blued finish, sawback was filed down, finished, and stamped, possibly to conform with the Geneva Convention while in service with the Weimar Republic. Complete with scabbard that exhibits nice finish. (F) Imperial German 1898/05 bayonet scabbard with bright finish. (G) Imperial German Ersatz bayonet with 11 - 1/2" shortened blade. Inspection marked on spine. Complete with steel scabbard that is painted green to match the grip. Leather frog attached remains supple with blemishes. All bayonets exhibit scattered blemishes from wear. Some blades exhibit very good+ finish while others are worn. Scabbards exhibit same. CONDITION: Good-very good.
