LOT OF TWO PRE WAR SAVAGE RIFLES

A. SAVAGE MODEL 99. SERIAL 325317. BARREL 22'" CALIBER 30-30. MADE IN 1930. Standard take down with blue finish, plain walnut sans checkering, sporting sights. The stock is shot with chip at tow and wood patch box hole carved into side. Fore-arm is excellent. Metal is basically a smooth mix of blue with patina. Action is fine as is bore. B. SAVAGE MODEL 1914 SLIDE ACTION. SERIAL 12848. BARREL 24". CALIBER .22 RIM FIRE. Features take down, octagon barrel, tube fed, sporting sights,blue finish, plain pistol grip walnut stock and grooved fore-end. Metal retains 80% original blue that is now drifting dark with patina and scattered freckles. Fore-end is excellent with handling marks. Stock needs work with crack at wrist. Bore is very good. Tube bands are present but need to be re-attached. A little wood work from somebody with talent and you will have two fine rifles worthy of the work. C&R
