Contemporary Spanish abstract artist Lucio Mu–oz is best known for his mesmerizing Òpseudo-paintings Ó works that create a bridge between the genres of sculpture and painting. Mu–oz draws attention to the three dimensionality of his work by altering and manipulating his canvases using carved burned and painted pieces of wood while flipping the sculptural ideal on its head by displaying his work on the wall in the same fashion as a painting.
