LUFTWAFFE DAGGER, SECOND MODEL
Very nice second model Luftwaffe dagger, 10 in. blade and 15 in. overall. Features a finely detailed round pommel nut with swastika, a tightly wire wrapped grip which has aged to an appealing pumpkin color, and a crossguard in the shape of a Luftwaffe eagle. The blade is fine condition, only showing some light running marks, maker marked on the ricasso by Paul Weyersburg, Solingen. Also present on the blade is an 'L5' waffenampt (WaA) just above the maker mark. Missing the scabbard. Original silver portepee properly tied to the grip. Excellent.
