LUFTWAFFE FIRST MODEL DRESS DAGGER
Fine and early Luftwaffe dress dagger, first model, maker Eickhorn, Solingen and additionally marked for retailer ‘William Gunther, Dresden'. Measures 13.75 in. overall with scabbard, aluminum fittings and chain with unmarked clip. Blade is very clean with no running marks, grip and wires all tight and clean. The fittings on the scabbard are likewise in excellent condition, with just slight flaking to the black cloth covering in a few spots. Traces of the original blue colored leather are evident on the handle but lacquer has been applied for preservation. The top edge of scabbard engraved ‘Gr. 25'. Overall fine.
